SkillsBank is "Leadership in action in the community"

It is a pro bono service to Not For Profit organisations and individuals providing access to a network of experienced and skilled New Zealand leaders who are happy to gift their time and expertise to community-minded organisations and individuals who need a little help or some leadership support.

Leadership New Zealand has access to around 150 experienced New Zealand leaders across many industries and sectors who can be matched to requests from social enterprise or good cause organisations or individuals embarking on a community project, and/or wishing to develop their leadership capacity.

SkillsBank offerings include:

• Mentoring
• Support and Advice Projects
• Facilitation & Strategic Planning
• Advisory & Selection Panels
• Board placements
• One off advice
• Leadership Talks/Workshops
• Youth leadership development
• Guidance on organisational matters

The emphasis for our Leaders is to support and strengthen the capacity of the staff, members and the organisation to whom they are assigned. 

The focus is on the transfer of skills, knowledge and key relationships during the term of the assignment.

Our members have completed a year in the Leadership New Zealand programme and are keen to put community leadership into further practice as well as hone their leadership skills to “enrich New Zealand through active leadership in a connected community”.
