SkillsBank is Leadership NZ’s leadership in action in the community
Through our SkillsBank we respond to a variety requests from Not for Profit (NFP) organisations for pro bono support and match the skills of our alumni to the request so the these NFPs can benefit from them.
Our alumni do real work for these organisations, helping them towards their own vision and transferring relevant skills and knowledge into the organisation so that the impact continues beyond their involvement. SkillsBank provides alumni with an opportunity to stretch themselves with real-world experience that is otherwise unavailable to them.
The requests for SkillsBank assistance have mostly covered:
- Board members
- Speakers at various events/workshops
However, over the years alumni have also provided assistance with:
- Support and Advice Projects
- Facilitation & Strategic Planning
- One off advice
- Guidance on organisational matters
The emphasis for our Leaders is to support and strengthen the capacity of the staff, Board and the organisation they agree to work with.
Many of our 300 alumni make themselves available each year for SkillsBank activities. You can view the skills and experience of our alumni in our Yearbook.
