Congratulating Our Founder, Dame Jo Brosnahan

It is with immense pride and delight that we congratulate our founder and kuia Dame Jo Brosnahan, who was made a Dame Companion in this year’s King’s Birthday and Coronation Honours.

Dame Jo says that “Everyone who helped establish and grow Pūmanawa Kaiārahi o Aotearoa Leadership New Zealand over the last 20 years shares in my honour.”

Since founding the organisation in 2003, Dame Jo has continued to provide support, engagement, and wisdom to the diverse and transformational leaders of Pūmanawa Kaiārahi o Aotearoa Leadership New Zealand. We are privileged to benefit from her ongoing passion and commitment to leadership development in Aotearoa.

“For New Zealand to be able to succeed and create a place that our children and grandchildren want to grow up in then we need collaborative leadership with people who can actually work together in a way that understands and empathises with each other's perspectives.”

Dame Jo’s vision and drive for inclusive and visionary leadership have ensured the ongoing success of our organisation and our programmes. We are deeply grateful for her tenacity, strength, and leadership, and are overjoyed that she is being acknowledged and honoured for her services to governance and business.

Ngā mihi nui ki te rangatira, a massive congratulations to you Dame Jo! We are thinking of you, Chris, and your whānau with the deepest aroha and gratitude as we celebrate this well-deserved honour.
